The visiting Calgary Hitmen dominated the host Swift Current Broncos from start to finish in a 6-1 win on Tuesday evening.

The Hitmen got goals from five different skaters and points from 12 different players as they extended their winning streak to five games.

Mackenzie Royer led the Hitmen with two goals, followed by singles from Joel Broda, Jimmy Bubnick, Brandon Kozun, and Del Cowan as the Hitmen led by period margins of 1-0 and 3-1.

Cody Eakin, with his 39th goal of the season, replied for the Broncos with a powerplay marker as the Broncos were out-shot 38-16.

Michael Snider picked up the win with 15 saves to improve to 13-5-1-1. Clark suffered the loss with 32 saves on 38 shots to drop to 17-13-01.

The Hitmen have now won all three games against the Broncos, including a 2-1 win just six days earlier in Swift Current.

"Obviously we knew they were a good team and we showed that we could play with them in a pretty good game last week," said Broncos defenseman Jordan Evans. "Tonight it just seemed like we couldn't really get anything going from the first period all the way to the end of the game."

The Broncos went into the game thin on the blueline without captain Derek Claffey and lost defenseman Joel Rogers only 2:21 in when he was checked from behind by Royer drawing a four minute penalty that the Broncos were out-shot 2-1 on the ensuing man-advantage.

"For sure those guys are huge players for us, Claffey logs half the game for us most of the time, so it was a battle. But guys have to step up and we have to all do our jobs," said Evans.

Wednesday the Broncos will be right back on the ice in Saskatoon as they visit the Blades in the second of four games in five nights.

"I think we just have to throw that one in the garbage. We have a huge week ahead of us with three games in the next four nights. So we just have to rebound, I think we will, we have been good at that this year," said Evans.

Why was Royer's hit from behind not a major penalty??? Calgary's first two penalties were a hit from behind, and a fighting instigator penalty after the Broncos threw a pair of good hits on a Hitmen untouchable player. Broncos got bullied out of their own rink!!! No toughness plus phantom calls (and lack of calls) equals more big city teams making the playoffs at the expense of Broncos.
