Matt Tassone scored the game winner and Morgan Clark made 33 saves as the Swift Current Broncos edged the host Prince Albert Raiders 2-1 in overtime.
Tassone scored his 11th goal of the season on the Broncos fifth shot of the extra period with only 33 seconds remaining.
Prince Albert opened the scoring midway through the first period when Mark McNeil scored his eighth goal of the season.
The Broncos replied with Adam Lowry's 12th goal midway through the second period.
Clark made 33 saves, including 13 in the third period to improve to 16-12-0-1. Garrett Zemlak made 34 saves to drop to 23-16-3-1.
Both teams finished without a goal on four man-advantages.
The Broncos remain in ninth-place in the Western Hockey League's Eastern Conference with a 27-25-0-3 record, while Prince Albert sits seventh with a 28-23-3-2 record, just four points ahead of the Broncos.
Tonight the Broncos will be back at home against another playoff race rival when they meet the sixth-place Red Deer Rebels at 7:30 p.m at the Credit Union iplex.
