The Swift Current Broncos fell to 1-2 on the season with a 3-0 loss to the host Brandon Wheat Kings on Friday.

Jordan Hale and Mark Stone scored second period goals only 2:43 apart, Jordan DePape added another into an empty net, and Andrew Hayes made 16 saves for the shutout for the Wheat Kings who improved to 2-1 on the season.

Alexandre Sirard suffered the loss with 22 saves on 24 shots.

The Broncos failed to score on two man-advantages, while the Wheat Kings failed on three powerplay opportunities in a game that featured only five minor penalties.

Saturday the Broncos will be back in Swift Current to host the Lethbridge Hurricanes (0-3).
