The Swift Current Indians snapped a two-game losing streak with a 10-6 win over the host Saskatoon Yellow Jackets Wednesday.
The Tribe scored at least a run in six straight innings, including a three-run seventh inning to take a 10-1 lead. Saskatoon fought back with five runs in the eighth inning but they could not complete the comeback.
Eros Modena finished a triple shy of the cycle as he hit a home run and a double to knock home three runs and scored one run. Josh Johnson got on base with three singles and a walk as he had one run batted in, one run scored, and a stolen base out of the leadoff spot. Justin Lee and Kevin Bettencourt both scored a pair of runs.
Zach Manley got the win with seven innings of five-hit ball, allowing two runs while striking out five.
The Indians improved to 7-9 on the season and will be back at home Thursday to host the Central Division leading Moose Jaw Miller Express at 7:05 p.m. at Mitchell Field.
