The Swift Current Indians improved to 11-4 with a 5-2 win over the visiting Lethbridge Bulls Wednesday.
Michael Noteware pitched five scoreless innings in the start for Swift Current. He allowed three hits and one walk and struck out two. Jake Gonzalez clinched the win with two scoreless relief innings.
The Indians led 1-0 with a run in the bottom of the third before extending their lead with four runs in the sixth to make it 5-0. Lethbridge replied with two in the seventh before unsuccesfully loading the bases in the top of the ninth.
Second baseman Matt Henriksen had a big night at the plate with two hits, three runs batted in, and one run scored.
Danny Clifford scored twice for the Tribe as they won their second straight game.
The Indians will be back at home Thursday to host the Okotoks Dawgs (10-3) at 7:05 at Mitchell Field.
