Behind a strong pitching performance from Larsen Kohler, the Swift Current Indians upset the visiting Okotoks Dawgs 5-2 Wednesday at Mitchell Field.

Kohler allowed only four hits, one walk, and two runs over 6-2/3 innings to earn his third win of the season.

Cody Chartrand closed things down, despite allowing a solo home run in the ninth, to earn the save.

A four-run fourth inning was the difference as the Tribe snapped a two-game losing streak to improve to 19-16. Kirk Haviland brought Will Thorp in with a sacrifice fly, Jack Thompson doubled in Alex Mortensen and Tanner Morache, and David Greenstein singled in Thompson to make it 5-0 after four innings.

Greenstein had doubled and scored in the first inning to open the scoring.

Okotoks chipped away at the lead with runs in the sixth, seventh, and ninth, but were unable to equalize.

The Dawgs remain second in the West Division with a 22-13 record.

The Indians will be back at home Thursday when they host the WMBL leading Regina Red Sox (26-8).
