The Swift Current Indians held on for their fourth straight win as they topped the host Lethbridge Bulls 3-2 on Saturday.

The Indians, who have now won nine of their past 10, scored the first three runs to defeat Lethbridge for the second straight night.

Cody Phipps doubled in Aaron Dunsmore and Kirk Haviland in the fourth, and Alex Mortensen singled in Brennan Peterson in the fifth for the eventual game-winning run.

Lethbridge closed the gap in the eighth with a two-run home run from Zach Rhodes but they were unable to equalize.

Eric Huson earned the win with six scoreless innings of four-hit ball. Larsen Kohler picked up the save with a perfect ninth inning.

The win improved the Indians to 18-14 as they remain atop the Western Major Baseball League’s Central Division. Lethbridge dropped to 17-16 with their second straight loss.

The Indians will be back on the road Monday and Tuesday when they visit the Yorkton Cardinals (9-24).
