Yellow Jackets stop streaking Indians

The Swift Current Indians winning streak came to an end in a 14-4 loss to the host Saskatoon Yellow Jackets Tuesday.

The Indians dropped to 14-14 as just two games seperate the Central Division leading Tribe and third-place Saskatoon (12-16).

Jordan Rawlyk earned the win over six innings, allowing three hits and one earned run, walking eight, but striking out 10 to improve to 5-2.

Brian Ranta was tagged with the loss after allowing 11 hits and eight earned runs in 2 2/3 innings.

The Indians managed only four singles in the win. Left-fielder Brennan Peterson walked four times and scored twice.

The two teams will meet again Wednesday at Mitchell Field in Swift Current at 7:05 p.m.
