Two-run home runs from Brennan Peterson and Aaron Dunsmore were the difference as the host Swift Current Indians downed the Moose Jaw Miller Express 9-5 on Thursday.

The win pulled the Tribe even with Moose Jaw for top spot in the Western Major Baseball League’s Central Division.

Peterson and Dunsmore both homered during a six-run second inning to go ahead 7-0. Moose Jaw battled back with the next five runs but the Indians scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to put the game away.

Larson Kohler earned the win, allowing nine hits and four runs over five innings.

Leadoff man David Greenstein had two hits, knocked in two runs, and scored three times in the win.

Indians coach Joe Carnahan was ejected in the fourth inning for arguing a call at home plate with umpire Bruce Walker.

Next action for the Indians (10-13) will be Friday when they visit the Melville Millionaires (17-12). The two teams will meet Saturday in Swift Current at 3:05 p.m.
