The Swift Current Indians fell victim to a one-man gang on Friday in a 6-5 loss to the host Lethbridge Bulls.

Bulls third baseman Jesse Sawyer finished three-for-five with five runs batted in, including a walk-off single with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth.

Sawyer swatted a solo home run in the fourth inning and added a three-run home run in the sixth inning. He now leads the Western Major Baseball League with 15 home runs in 39 games and sits second with 43 RBI.

Brennan Peterson finished two-for-four with two runs scored for the Tribe as he improved his average to .333. Relly Mercurio also had a pair of hits and two RBI in the loss.

Alex Tufts made the start and allowed seven hits, five runs, four of them earned, over 6 1/3 innings with two walks and three strikeouts. Joey Evans dropped to 5-3 as he allowed the game-winning run in the ninth.

The Indians dropped to 21-15 with their second straight loss as their road record dipped to 7-11 this season. The Bulls improved to 19-24 with the win. The two teams will meet again Saturday in Lethbridge.
