Swift Current Midget Indians catcher Luke Barry was recognized for a strong couple of games when he was named the Boston Pizza AAA player of the week for week eight in the Prairie Midget Baseball League.
Barry finished nine for 13 at the plate with a pair of doubles, two triples, three walks, three runs batted in, while stealing seven bases and scoring nine runs.
Heading into Wednesday's action Barry was hitting .435 with seven RBI's, 20 runs, and 18 stolen bases for the 7-6-2 Indians.
Next season Barry is heading to Vauxhaul Baseball Academy in Alberta as a grade 12 student.
