The “Biggest Little Rodeo in the West” returns this weekend when Consul hosts the seventh annual Reno Rodeo on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The festivities will begin Friday with Jackpot Team Roping on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday’s schedule will begin with the Kid’s Rodeo at 2 p.m. Events for the kids include Sheep Riding, Dummy Roping, Pee Wee Barrels, Junior Barrels, Stick Horse Barrel Race, and the Chuckwagon Race.
The Canadian Cowboys’ Association rodeo will have its first performance on Saturday at 5:30 p.m., featuring the “Dash for Candy” final wagon race at the intermission, as well as the tarp auction.
Sunday will have a pancake breakfast and Slack will begin at 9 a.m. The CCA rodeo will begin at 2 p.m.
Rodeo admission will be $10 for adults and $5 for students. The rodeo will have concessions, beer gardens and music, free camping, as well as new grandstands.
