Silver medal for 15U SunDogs in Regina

The Swift Current Female 15U Junior SunDogs volleyball team won their first six matches to place second at the QCVC 15U Tournament in Regina over the weekend.

The SunDogs lost in three sets to Manitoba Club West in the championship match. They won the opening set 25-21 before losing 15-25 and 7-15 to bring home silver medals.

The 15U SunDogs, coached by Jocelyn Martin, Chelsea Hassett, and Tyler Hassett, opened the weekend with routine wins over the Oxbow Black Knights (25-14, 25-12), the Saskatoon Impact (25-10, 25-6), and Regina’s QCVC Purple (25-3, 25-13).  They concluded the day with a three-set win over the QCVC 14U Elite (22-25, 25-11, 25-9).

They defeated QCVC Black (25-12, 25-9) on Sunday morning to reach the semi-finals where they defeated RVC Green in straight sets (25-19, 25-9).

The 15U SunDogs roster includes: Brittany Rouseaux, Cassidy Kennedy, Kennedy Choo Foo, Hannah Dyck, Mackenzie Froehlich, Alayna McDonald, Payton Grodaes, Megan McLeary, Allison Girardeau, Karrie Therrien, Amy Regier, and Kyra Braaten.
