Piapot cowboys lead Southwest cowboys on day four at CCA Finals Rodeo

Piapot's Bertram boys were the top Southwest finishers during round four of the Canadian Cowboys' Association Finals in Regina Friday.

Casey Bertram tied for top spot in Saddle Bronc with 77.5 points on B.B. Gun for $1,125. Watch video  Brady Bertram placed second in Bareback with a 77.75-point ride for $750.

Shamrock's Kevin Turner and Tyler Paicu (Avonlea) finished third in Team Roping in 10.3 seconds for $500. Hazenmore's Ben Switzer and Jim Gomersall (Moose Jaw) were fourth in 17.0 seconds for $250.

Mankota's Kassidy Williamson placed third in Junior Girls Racing in 14.49 seconds for $125. Her run was hailed as the highlight of the night when she pushed her third barrel back up to stay in the money for a fourth straight round. Watch video

Lucky Lake's Tyler Getz and Waldeck's Tuftin McLeod tied for fourth in Tie Down Roping in 9.4 seconds for $125 each to round out the Southwest money winners.

Round five of the Finals will begin Saturday at 7 p.m.
