Three Southwest cowboys win round-three events at CCA Finals in Regina

Three Southwest cowboys won their events during the third round of the 50th Anniversary Canadian Cowboys' Association Rodeo Finals in Regina Thursday.
Consul's Monty Koopman tied for top spot in Bareback with a 79.5-point ride on Deal Me In to earn $1,500. Watch video
Piapot's Casey Bertram won Saddle Bronc with a 79.25 score on Sniper for $1,500 in round three. Watch video Maple Creek's Ross Kreutzer tied for fourth with 76 points for $125.
Mankota's Shawn Williamson, the defending Tie Down Roping champion, won his event in 8.3 seconds for $1,500. Watch video Lucky Lake's Tyler Getz was second in 8.9 seconds for $750.
Waldeck's Tuftin and Scott McLeod had one of only two qualified times in Team Roping to place second in 7.3 seconds for $750.
Hazenmore's Chanse Switzer was second in Junior Steer Riding with a 68.5-point effort for $187.50. Maple Creek's Brady Resch was right behind him in third spot with 67.5 points for $125.
Mankota's Kassidy Williamson tied for second in Junior Girls Barrel Racing in 14.83 seconds for $156.25.
Jared Parsonage was in the money in Bull Riding for a third straight day. The Maple Creek cowboy scored 82 points to tie for third for $387.
Maple Creek cowgirls were among the top-four in Ladies Barrel Racing. Kerry Maynes was third in 14.29 seconds for $500 and Cali Yarshenko was fourth in 14.34 seconds for $250.
Round four of the five-day event will be held Friday at the Brandt Centre in Regina.
