A Sport Taping Workshop has been scheduled for Sept. 28 in Gull Lake to help show proper athletic taping techniques to interested individuals in the Southwest.
The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Gull Lake School, with the day long workshop hosted by the South West District For Culture, Recreation and Sport, and the Sport Medicine and Science Council of Saskatchewan. Registration deadline for the workshop is Sept. 24.
The course includes injury assessment and management along with taping theory (benefits, when and why you tape, common mistakes, taping techniques). Participants will spend time taping ankles, wrists, thumbs, fingers and functional wrapping of the hip. A $10 fee is payable at the workshop in order to cover the cost of taping material.
