The Speedy Creek Racing Association held a double race weekend as their season nears the finish line.
Racing in four classes was held on Saturday with some familiar names among the leaders in the feature races.
Chris Daniel drove Jenn Schultz’s #17 truck to a win in the Trucks Feature. #01 Stuart Johnson followed in second spot. #03 Coty Smith placed third and #59 Shae Barber was fourth in the Trucks Feature.
#5 Destiny Klym was first across the finish line in the Hobby Stock Feature on Saturday. She was followed by #7 Carson Crowe, the mysterious #8R car, and #88 Trevor Monk.
#35 Mike Dionne was the winner in the Street Stock Feature. #98 Daryl Kehler was second, #86 Bradley Kehler placed third, and #44A Ryan Atkins came in fourth on Saturday.
#66 Bob Heffer took the checkered flag in the IMCA Modifieds Feature. #45 Trent Guest placed second, #59 John Barber took third, and #77 Shaun Ring finished fourth on Saturday.
The SCRA returned to the Speedy Creek Raceway on Sunday afternoon as well. #01 Stuart Johnson moved up from second on Saturday to win the Trucks Feature. He was followed by #13 Rene Panasiuk, #03 Coty Smith, and Chris Daniel in the #17 truck again in fourth spot.
#5 Destiny Klym finished two-for-two when she won the Hobby Stock Feature for a second straight outing. #24 Murray Koethler followed in second, #88 Trevor Monk was third, and #96 Dave Koethler placed fourth.
The Street Stock Feature saw the leaders flip-flop when #98 Daryl Kehler improved on Saturday’s second-place showing to win the Feature on Sunday. He was followed by #35 Mike Dionne, #86 Bradley Kehler, and #44 Kevin Schafer.
#10 Dave Dease took top spot in the Modifieds Feature on Sunday. In second spot was #45 Trent Guest, followed by #59 John Barber and #66 Bob Heffer.
Only two race days remain for the SCRA this season. The Trucks, Hobbies, and Streets will all be back racing on Saturday, September 7 at 7 p.m. The Season Ender will feature all four racing classes on Sunday, September 22 at 2 p.m at the Speedy Creek Raceway.
