Things aren’t going the way they were planned.

The Yamalube Schrader’s SMX Racing team seems to keep hitting a wall but team owner/manager Jackie Maffenbeier remains optimistic.

“We’ve simply had some bad luck and with only three rounds left we’re looking to have things turn around.”

The weekend started out great with both Shawn Maffenbeier and Shawn Robinson having great practices.

Qualifiers went sideways with both boys thankfully getting in a timed lap. Moto 1 for Shawn Maffenbeier had him finish with a 9th place.

“I was able to get loose and able to have a decent finish.”

Shawn Robinson had a rough weekend. Moto 1 saw him charging hard, but moto 2 was when the wheels stopped spinning.

“I was going great and had just made some good passes. Coming over a jump my bike hit neutral causing me to crash. The result, a season ending broken arm,” said Robinson.

A tough ending for a promising year.

“Shawn has worked very hard and our disappointment for him is great,” said owner/manager Randy Maffenbeier.

The team has had a tough go, but so have others. Hence the term’ “That’s Racing.”

With three rounds left the Yamalube Schrader’s SMX Racing team is looking to have a successful end to the season.
