The following is a letter recently received by Meghan Chisholm

On behalf of everyone at JDRF Canada, I would like to congratulate you on your amazing accomplishment! Your bravery and commitment to swim the English Channel is inspiring. We were closely watching your journey and were cheering you on every step, (stroke) of the way.

There are not many people in this world who would work as hard as you have to raise money for an organization in which they had no direct connection. We are honoured that you chose JDRF as your charity of choice, and it is our privilege to support your efforts.

The impact that your fundraising efforts are making on the lives of those living with Type 1 Diabetes is incredible. Your fundraising dollars will be used to help change the lives of people living with this disease by supporting critical research. JDRF is working to cure, better treat and prevent type 1 diabetes through various research initiatives, including the Canadian Clinical Trial Network (CCTN). Your support is helping to make our vision a reality.

Once again, congratulations and thank you for supporting JDRF.
