Thank you for allowing my wife Doris and I to be a part of your community for the past 20 years. We came here in 1993 for one year, but your acceptance and friendliness made us realize how lucky we were to be here.

We have now both retired and it is time to return to where we have family, but these past 20 years have been the best of our lives, and we will never forget them.

Thank you to the Mayors and Councillors over the past 20 years for your faith in me and for the opportunity you gave me. It was an honour and a privilege. To the Administration of Swift Current, your acceptance and guidance made my job so easy and so much fun.

To all my staff who worked with me, thank you for the wonderful job you all did. It could not have worked without you.

To all those who played at the Chinook Golf Course, used its facilities, and supported us, thank you so much.

There is a saying "All good things must come to an end" but this is not the end because we will always have our memories forever.

Thank you all so very much.

Thank you John and Doris for making our community a better place. You will be missed. Swift Current's loss is Nova Scotia's gain. Enjoy your retirement and stay in touch. George Bowditch
