Prince Albert RCMP

2014-08-07 6:45 p.m.

 

At approximately 5:25 p.m. Member of the Prince Albert Detachment and Fire Department attended a 2 vehicle motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway #2 at the 355 Highway.  The collision involved a blue Winstar van that had 2 occupants and a black Pontiac G6 with one occupant.

 

The occupants from the van were transported by ambulance to hospital.  The passenger of the van was ejected from the vehicle and sustained what is believed to be serious injuries.

 

The lone occupant of the Pontiac was also transported to hospital with what is believed to be a lower body injury.

 

The matter is currently under investigation.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 7, 2014

 

FORT QU’APPELLE RCMP SEARCHING FOR FEMALE WHO ABSCONDED ELECTRONIC MONITORING

 

The Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP is searching for Brianna WESAQUATE (DOB August 18, 1984) who did not return to her Pasqua First Nation residence on August 5, 2014.

 

WESAQUATE is awaiting trial for 2nd degree murder and was released on Electronic Monitoring on March 6, 2014 after spending approximately one week on remand at

Pine Grove Correctional Centre.  A Queen’s Bench Trial date is not yet set.

 

WESAQUATE had been granted permission to be away from her residence between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on August 5, 2014.  An alarm was generated when WESAQUATE failed to return to her residence at a designated time. It is not yet known if the electronic device was removed.

 

WESAQUATE’s description is as follows:

Height: 5' 6 " = 168 (cm)     

Weight: 130 (lbs) = 59 (kgs)

Eye Colour: BR Brown

Hair Colour: BR Brown

Complexion: First Nations

 

The RCMP issued a warrant for WESAQUATE’s arrest. Reason for arrest: violation of court ordered undertaking.

Swan River (Manitoba) RCMP

Swan River, Manitoba, August 7, 2014 - Swan River RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in locating 41-year-old Carl CHAMPION of RM of Langford, MB.

 

CHAMPION was last seen and in contact with his family the week of July 27th, 2014.  He is a resident of Manitoba, but had recently been in Regina, Saskatchewan, for employment purposes.  His whereabouts and direction of travel are not known.

 

Family and friends are concerned for CHAMPION's safety and well-being.

 

CHAMPION is described as being Caucasian, 5'8", 159 lbs, long brown hair, green eyes,  slender-build, possibly wearing grey sweat pants or jeans, white running shoes, a black jacket that appears to be fake leather. CHAMPION wears a brace on his left leg, and walks with a limp.
