Milestone RCMP

2014-08-05  7:30 p.m.


Members of the Milestone Detachment and Capital Region Traffic Services are currently on scene of a fatal, two vehicle motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway #39 just west of Yellowgrass, SK.  The collision involved a Semi Tractor Trailer and a Mazda3.  The 20 year old male occupant in the Mazda3 succumbed to his injuries at the scene.  The lone occupant of the Semi was examined at scene by ambulance staff and released.


Names will not be released due to pending family notifications.


Traffic is being redirected at this time we ask motorist to expect delays for the next couple of hours.


The matter is still under investigation.



Fox Creek (Alberta) RCMP


2:45 p.m.


Fox Creek, Alberta - On August 4, 2014 shortly after 3:00 p.m., Fox Creek RCMP officers responded to a complaint of a female who was abducted by a male with a firearm.  The incident started at a business location in the town of Fox Creek and it took place between 1:00 p.m. and the time the female victim manage to escape.  The victim and suspect knew each other through business deals. As a result of the investigation, the RCMP have charged David James ROGERSON, 49-year-old male of British Columbia and a Canada Wide warrant has been issued with the following charges.


Robbery with a Firearm, section 344 of the Criminal Code

Kidnapping with a Firearm, section 279(1.1) of the Criminal Code

Unlawful Confinement, section 279(2) of the Criminal Code

Assault with a weapon, section 267(a) of the Criminal Code  

Mischief, section 430(3) of the Criminal Code  

Utter threats to cause death, section 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code  

Use a Firearm in the Commission of an offence, Section 85 (1)(a) of the Criminal Code

Pointing a Firearm, section 87(2) of the Criminal Code

Carry a Weapon for the Purpose of Committing an Offence, Section 88 of the Criminal Code

Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, section 91(3) of the Criminal Code

Possession of a Restricted Firearm with readily accessible ammunition, section 95(2) of the Criminal Code

The public is urged not to approach ROGERSON as it is believed that he is armed and dangerous.   He was last travelling in a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee black in color 4 doors, British Columbia licence plate 655 MPR.

Rosetown RCMP

2014-08-04 11:00 a.m.

At approximately 10:50 p.m. on August 4th. 2014 Rosetown RCMP responded to a single vehicle MVA that occurred just east of Fiske on Highway #7. The male driver, who was the lone occupant of the eastbound vehicle, had been ejected from the vehicle after entering the ditch. Rosetown Fire and Ambulance were on scene, and the driver was transported via STARS Air Ambulance to the Royal University Hospital with serious life threatening injuries. He later succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased is a 38 year old Alberta resident whose name will not be released due to pending family notifications.

The investigation into the cause of this accident is still under investigation



Lloydminster RCMP

Missing Person

Lloydminster, Alberta- On July 29, 2014 Lisa Parkhurst (24) of Lloydminster left her residence for a walk and did not return.  Parkhurst left her residence at approximately 9:30 A.M.  Parkhurst is about 5'9" and 140lbs.  Parkhurst was last seen wearing a dark green button up jacket and black sweat pants.  Anyone with information about Parkhurst's location is asked to contact the Lloydminster RCMP.
