Wollaston Lake RCMP


4:45 p.m.

On Friday, July 25, 2014, RCMP Saskatchewan's Divisional Operational Communications Center received a call from the Winnipeg Flight Control Center. They advised that they had received a distress call at approximately 11:50 a.m. from a private plane traveling in Saskatchewan.

There were two persons aboard the private plane, a REPUBLIC RC-3 SEABEE # 965, one 53-year-old male pilot and one 29-year-old male co-pilot, both from Thorndale, Ontario. The plane crashed approximately 14 miles south and 11 miles west of Points North Landing, a permanent camp near Wollaston Lake, Saskatchewan. The plane was traveling to Yellowknife, NWT.

Wollaston Lake RCMP is currently on scene. The pilot and copilot are currently being extracted from the scene by search and rescue technicians in a Griffon Helicopter. The two males will be transported to Points North and a Hercules aircraft will transport them to Saskatoon for medical assessment. The search and rescue technicians, Griffon helicopter and Hercules aircraft are from the Department of National Defense.

Transport Canada has been notified. Injuries and details are limited at this time and the investigation is ongoing.


Punnichy RCMP




As of 2014-07-25 at 1555, Laura Freda FIRINGSTONEY was located alive and well.

La Ronge RCMP


3:55 p.m.


On Friday, July 25, 2014, at approximately 10:15 a.m., La Ronge RCMP were notified that a small plane required an emergency landing at the La Ronge Airport. La Ronge EMS, Fire and RCMP arrived on scene prior to the plane landing safely.  


The flight was en route to Uranium City from Saskatoon when a crack in the windshield caused a loss in cabin pressure.  The plane was carrying two pilots and five passengers.  No one was injured in this incident.   No other details are known at this time.



Punnichy RCMP



Punnichy RCMP detachment is requiring the assistance from the public in locating a 46 year Aboriginal female who was last seen on July 16th, 2014 at approximately 8:00 pm in Raymore, Saskatchewan. She was reported missing to our detachment on July 24, 2014.

Missing is Laura Freda FIRINGSTONEY, who was born March 29, 1968.  She's described as 5'4", 145 lbs, Aboriginal, brown eyes, shoulder length black hair.  FIRINGSTONEY is from the Kawacatoose First Nation, Saskatchewan.

There is no reason to believe that FIRINGSTONEY has come to harm, however family is concerned as she normally contacts them after a few days when she has left for extended period of time in the past.

Anyone with information as to Laura FIRINGSTONEY's whereabouts is asked to please contact the Punnichy RCMP at (306) 835-5200 or your nearest Police Service.



North Battleford RCMP

Over 20 calls for service reported including 2 Municipal Bylaw/Noise complaints, 2 complaints regarding suspicious behaviour, 6 Traffic complaints/investigations, 1 False Alarm, 2 False/Nuisance 911 calls.



1115 am - Report of a theft of a television from a residence on 102nd Street.  A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.


131 pm - Counterfeit money reported seized at a business on 102nd Street.


313 pm - 44 year old male arrested and charges of Failing to Comply with an Undertaking are pending, found intoxicated and sleeping under bridge off Territorial Drive.


351 pm - 53 year old woman arrested for Public Intoxication on 104th Street and held in custody until sober.


452 pm - 50 year old male arrested at a residence on 103rd Street after report of intoxicated male freaking out and causing problems at residence.  No charges pursued.


928 pm - Call of an assault at a residence on 97th Street.  Two brothers found to have engaged in a minor physical altercation.  No desire on anyone's part to cooperate with investigation.  One party taken to a different residence to avoid further problems.



1227 am - Report of intoxicated female refusing to leave a license premise.  Subject located, not overly intoxicated.  Found a safe ride home.


200 am - Vehicle parked on 1100 block of 107th Street had tires slashed some time around 930 to 1000 pm.


324 am - Rock thrown through a window at a residence on 108th Street.  Suspect has since been identified.  Investigation ongoing.
