Meghan Chisholm was within sight of the French coast at the 12-hour mark of her English Channel swim attempt on July 22.
After stepping off the English coast and into the Atlantic Ocean 12-hours ago, Swift Current's Meghan Chisholm can clearly see the French coast during her English Channel swim attempt.
Her pilot boat Pathfinder was first detected on a positional tracking website at 11:15 p.m. Saskatchewan time (6:15 a.m. England time), and 12 hours later she is into the final hours of her attempt.
Expectedly, currents pushed Chisholm well south of the closest landing spot, and she is now past her goal finish time of 12 hours. However, her progress as of 11:15 a.m. places her out of the strong English Channel current.
