Manitoba motorcyclist dies in Monday crash near Maple Creek

A 63-year-old Manitoba man has died following a single vehicle crash on the TransCanada Highway near Maple Creek on Monday.

Maple Creek RCMP responded to the scene of the motorcycle accident just before 6:30 p.m. on Monday where a westbound motorcyclist lots control and crashed approximately seven kilometres west of the intersection of Highway #1 and Highway #21 near Maple Creek.

The 63-year-old male driver from Steinbach, MB was transported by ambulance to Maple Creek hospital and pronounced deceased at the hospital.

There were no other vehicles nor persons involved in this collision.

The collision is still under investigation and RCMP have not released the name of the deceased.
