Environment Canada has continued Special air quality statement in the Southwest in response to northern forest fire smoke descending into the region.
All of Saskatchewan is currently under an air quality advisory, as smoke from forest fires continues to sit over the province. While the smoke is slowly moving eastward, air quality sensors across the province are showing elevated particulate matter and reduced air quality today.
Children, the elderly and those with respiratory problems should take care. People in good health should consider reducing strenuous activities outdoors.
The smoke is forecast to continue to move eastward and become less dense throughout the day with air quality improving back to normal levels later today.
