It may be impossible to believe in a city that received snow last week, but seeding has started in some areas of the province.

According to Saskatchewan’s weekly crop report, there is two per cent of the land seeded in the southwestern region, while some producers in the southeastern and west-central regions are now starting the process.

It’s expected that most producers will begin next week.

The province estimated that cropland topsoil moisture is 30 per cent surplus, 67 per cent adequate and three per cent short while hay land and pasture topsoil moisture is 18 per cent surplus, 79 per cent adequate and three per cent short.
