SEIU-West employees in the Cypress Health Region are among the over 11,500 union workers who recently reached a new five-year collective agreement.
Earlier this week the Service Employees International Union-West (SEIU-WEST) ratified an agreement with the Cypress, Five Hills, Heartland and Saskatoon regional health authorities after reaching a five-year collective agreement with the Saskatchewan Association of Health Associations (SAHO).
The Cypress Regional Health Authority ratified the agreement at their January 22 meeting, with SAHO and SEIU-West confirming the agreement on Jan. 27.
The agreement, which is in effect until March 31, 2017, contains an 8.5 per cent increase over the five year contract. Retro active to April 1, 2012, the agreement include yearly pay rate increases of 2.0 per cent, 1.5 per cent, 1.5 per cent, 1.55 per cent and 1.95 per cent.
