Additional flu vaccine clinics to be announced in Southwest
With additional stocks of vaccine arriving earlier this week, the Cypress Health Region has confirmed a series of influenza clinics across the Southwest.
Starting on Monday, there will be a six-day-a-week flu clinic operating at the Swift Current Mall, and additional clinics are scheduled in Shaunavon, Maple Creek and Leader.
On Friday, Saskatchewan Health officials updated their influenza statistical totals, reporting 16 confirmed seats in the province as a result of influenza along with over 1,100 confirmed lab cases. A total of 57 patients have been admitted to intensive care as a result of influenza.
All newly announced clinics are being conducted on a drop in basis, with no appointments necessary to receive influenza immunications.
Both nasal spray and injectable vaccine will be available at these clinics.
