Wind gusts of 100 kilometers per hour possible on January 15

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for portions of the Southwest with gusts of up to 100 kilometers per hour possible today.

The wind warning is in effect for much of the province, but only the Swift Current - Herbert - Cabri - Kyle - Lucky Lake forecast region in the Southwest is impacted by the warning.

A low pressure system which has produced winds gusts of over 100 kilometers per hour in Alberta, will produced strong winds this afternoon in portions of Saskatchewan.

"Winds will generally be in the 50 to 60 kilometer per hour range, but will at times gust to 100 km/h or perhaps stronger. The winds should abate to below warning levels this evening," the warning highlights.
