The Green Party of Saskatchewan has nominated George Watson to run in the constituency of Swift Current during the next provincial election.
Watson is an educational assistant with the Regina Public School Board.
“By coming forward at this time, George allows the voters of Swift Current to have some choice on their ballot other than the Premier,” Green Party leader Victor Lau said in a press release. “This is democracy in action.”
Watson will be hoping to unseat Premier Brad Wall, who won the last election with 81 per cent of the vote in Swift Current.
Watson is the 35th candidate the Green Party has nominated to run in the next election.
