Police seize cash, cocaine, marijuana in drug bust

Members of the Prince Albert Integrated Street Enforcement Team seized a substantial amount of drugs and cash while searching a local residence on Thursday.

Police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant in the 200 block of 28th Street West, seizing 25 grams of cocaine, 68 grams of marijuana and a large amount of Canadian currency.

The street value of the drugs is estimated at approximately $1,800 worth of cocaine and $700 worth of marijuana. A man and a woman are now facing charges.

Jesse Kane Grimard, 25, and Brandi Dawn Laliberte, 23, have each been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Both accused parties have made their first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court.
