The St. John Ambulance Swift Current Training Centre will host an open house for the community on Wed., April 30th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Training Centre invites the community to the newly renovated facility located at 610 Cheadle St. for a charity barbecue and various first aid demonstrations.
The St. John Training Centre recently moved to a larger facility to better accommodate first aid students and staff. Renovations to the new facility have been completed to create a large, well-lit classroom and professional office space. The new facility also offers an abundance of parking and plenty of floor space for students to practice their first aid techniques.
To celebrate the move, St. John Ambulance will host a charity barbecue to raise money for the St. John Therapy Dog Program.
In the classroom area, different first aid techniques will be demonstrated allowing people to see what they can do to help in an emergency and how important it is to take first aid training.
The Swift Current Training Centre office is open Monday to Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
