Swift Current emergency personnel had a challenging rescue on Friday afternoon when an out of control vehicle left the road and jumped to the opposite side of the Swift Current Creek.

The male driver of the car was rescued by members of the Swift Current Ambulance and Swift Current Fire Department while his vehicle was situated on the east side of the Swift Current Creek at the Elmwood Golf Course.

The vehicle was reportedly traveling east on George St. E. when he overshot North Hill Drive and rapidly went down the hill leading to the Swift Current Creek, jumping the water and coming to rest on the opposite bank of the creek.

There are currently no other details available.

Passerby Diane Lang provided this photo of the creek side rescue.
