Missing Frontier teen found safe

Through phone calls and searching I found the location of my son Austin and informed Constable Craig Park who returned him home safely. I was not contacted by the media concerning the release of this news article and am disappointed that such a useful resource is not used more wisely by getting a statement from the family first. I was scared to see the article that my son could have read just saying I wanted him to call home. I would never have missed an opportunity to tell him how much I love him, our whole family loves him and to not be scared of anything, to just come home. He did not return home because he was scared of causing us trouble the longer this went on. And I am not sure who deemed it as his mother's residence but it is our family's home to us. I would like all young people to understand the longer my son was gone the more I battled with fears that he was dead, please, please call home, no matter what your situation is, or how scared you are, it's never as bad as you think. My son and I have always been very close and it wasn't even an argument that lead to all of this so for him to be gone away hour after hour was more and more concerning. At least if he had let someone know he was alright I could have handled it better. Kids just don't understand our love for them and I know I will tell my son more often what I take for grantide he already knows. Our family will be releasing a statement soon thanking everyone who helped in the search.
