Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the Leader-Gull Lake forecast area.

The afternoon warning was issued at 2:41 p.m., as moisture begins falling from a system moving in from Alberta.

Environment Canada's forecast for Swift Current on Halloween is calling for a 40 per cent chance of flurries early this evening, with the risk of freezing rain. Thursday's forecast calls for a 70 per cent chance of freezing rain late in the morning and early afternoon, followed by a 70 per cent chance of rain in the afternoon. Friday currently has a 60 per cent chance of flurries in the forecast.

Individuals required to travel this afternoon and into the evening are advised to visit the Government of Saskatchewan Highways and Infrastructure Highway Hotline website http://hotline.gov.sk.ca/map/en.html for the most up to date travel conditions.
