The Chinook School Board will have three new faces around the division table, with one incumbent unseated, one new member elected and one new face acclaimed during voting on Wednesday.
In Subdivision One, Shane Andrus was elected to serve as the representative for Leader, Burstall, Fox Valley and replace incumbent member Eileen Hartman.
Two board members chose not to seek re-election, ensuring there would be new representatives for two Chinook regions. In Subdivision Six, incumbent Gerald Egland chose not to run, with Elaine Anderson earning a victory over Alan Howard for the chance to represent Shaunavon, Eastend, Frontier. Subdivision Seven representative John Bickner did not let his name stand for re-election, with Shauna Wright acclaimed as the representative for the Vanguard, Ponteix, Val Marie region.
Tim Weinbender retained his Subdivision Three seat when he was voted in ahead of Darren Steinley as the voice for Herbert, Waldeck, Hodgeville.
The veteran trio of Cassandra Appelgren, Randy Beler and Tim Ramage all retained their Subdivision Eight seats as Swift Current's representatives, with Jim Dekowny unsuccessful in his bid to gain a spot on the School Board.
