The Grey Cup will be rolling into Swift Current for a four hour stop on Sept. 26 as part of the Grey Cup 100 Train Tour.

Swift Current is one of five Saskatchewan communities hosting the Grey Cup as part of the 100 community tour presented by RONA. The western portion of the tour begins in Vancouver on Sept. 7 and wraps up in Winnipeg on Oct. 6. Later this fall the train will embark on an eastern journey.

Swift Current's event will begin with the train arriving on September 26 at 12:30 p.m. and fan celebrations continuing until the train departs at 4:30 p.m.

Other provincial stops in the Grey Cup 100 Train Tour include Moose Jaw, Regina (including a Sept. 30 visit to Mosaic Stadium), Saskatoon, Yorkton on Oct. 2.

Swift Current is one of the select communities where the Grey Cup will arrive aboard a specially retrofitted train that includes a car showcasing the Grey Cup, a special museum car that captures its long and storied history, and a team car that celebrates the special place today's CFL teams have in their communities and the hearts of their fans across the country.

As part of the visit, fans can have their photo taken with the Grey Cup.

While details have not been announced, the Grey Cup Tour website notes that there will be CFL players or CFL Alumni at every fan celebration stop (depending on game schedules).
