Swift Current resident facing drug charges

On the evening of Sept. 12, members of the Swift Current Municipal RCMP Detachment, with the assistance of the Swift Current General Investigative Section and the Swift Current Police Dog Section, executed a Search Warrant at a residence located in the 100 block of 2nd Ave. S.E. in Swift Current. As a result of the search the RCMP seized a quantity of Methamphetamine, Heroin, Ritalin, and several other prescription pills.

Marley Cook, a 27-year-old Swift Current resident, has been arrested in connection with the Search Warrant and has been charged with three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. A court date has been set for Oct. 29 to deal with the charges.
