The Shaunavon RCMP have investigated problems at both the Climax and Eastend swimming pools.
Sometime between midnight at 8 a.m. on Aug. 11, culprits broke into the Eastend Public Swimming Pool and caused damage to pool and surrounding area. Shaunavon RCMP investigated the incident and believe that the culprits were intoxicated and swimming in the pool during the time period the vandalism occurred.
Shaunavon RCMP have also received a number of complaints this month regarding alcohol being present at the Climax Public Swimming Pool. Police have issued numerous liquor offense tickets in August. RCMP remind the public that it is unlawful to have, give or consume alcohol in a public place. They also emphasize that it is unlawful to give or sell alcohol to a person under the age of 19.
In a separate incident, RCMP report three lengths of chain were stolen from a farm East of Climax sometime on Aug. 10. The chain, approximately 20 to 25 feet in length, are valued at $500.
