Seven year sentences for manslaughter

Raymond Lynn Davis and John Donovan Park both received seven year jail sentences after pleading guilty to manslaughter charges in connection with the April 2010 death of Roland Ruest.

The duo received their sentences from Provincial Court Justice Tim Keene this afternoon following a morning long sentencing hearing.

Davis received a seven year sentence but was credited with serving 26 months in custody since being charged.

Park's seven year sentence takes into consideration two months in custody following his arrest in connection to the incident.
