Market Square kicks off with a perfect day

Horse drawn wagon rides were among the activities during the kick off Saturday for Market Square in downtown Swift Current.

Ideal temperatures made for the perfect atmosphere for the first Market Square Saturday at the corner of Central Ave. and Chaplin St. in downtown Swift Current. Large crowds turned out for the debut of the expanded Market Square, with the stage entertainment still featured in the Bank of Montreal flag court, but additional vendors and the Farmers' Market now situated under a tent adjacent to the original site. The opening day also featured horse drawn wagon rides.
