An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death following an early morning altercation in Swift Current.

An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death of a local man following an early morning altercation in Swift Current.

A 25-year-old Swift Current district male died at the Cypress Regional Hospital after RCMP responded to an altercation in the 600 block of Robert St. E. at approximately 1:10 a.m. on Sunday.

The death is being treated as suspicious, but no charges have been laid in connection with the incident.

The Regina Major Crimes Unit, the Regina Forensic Identification Unit and the Swift Current City RCMP Detachment are continuing their investigation.

    it is too bad when what we refer to as big city crime hits a peaceful community like swift current,my heart goes out to the family and parents of the victim,it is hard enough attending the funeral of an mother or father,but having to bury someone that was born of you,must be devastating,all our prayers are with the relatives and with the community of swift current,we also greave your loss.
