The general Swift Current population will have their first chance to receive an H1N1 immunization at a seven hour clinic today at the Wheatland Mall.
The Swift Current clinic runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Wheatland Mall. There is also a clinic at Vanguard School from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
At the start of the week, residents of Herbert, Ponteix, Shaunavon and Gull Lake were the first locations in the Cypress Health Region where H1N1 immunizations were be open to the general public.
Cypress Health Region officials confirmed that Monday's clinics in Herbert and Ponteix were the first scheduled opportunity where anyone wishing to receive the flu shot.
The Health Region has also confirmed that Thursday clinics will be offered in Maple Creek and Swift Current. The Maple Creek clinic runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Sidney Street School. The Swift Current clinic continues at the Wheatland Mall from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The lone clinic on Friday is set for the Wheatland Mall from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The length of all clinic hours are subject to the availability of allocated vaccine.
Last week Saskatchewan health officials announced that all H1N1 flu vaccinations clinics would be open to the general public.
