The RCMP will be making a pair of Fraud Awareness Month presentations in the Southwest in the coming days.
Presentations are scheduled for Shaunavon on March 10 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and at the Swift Current Mall during business hours on March 11.
Law enforcement, the Bank of Canada and other partners are undertaking a number of public campaigns to alert people about the types of frauds operating and how to prevent becoming a victim.
Some of the major groupings of frauds are: mass marketing fraud (phone solicitation), counterfeit currency, identity theft, plus securities or investment frauds.
