A total of 476 Jehovah's Witnesses from South West Saskatchewan assembled in Saskatoon for a convention on Oct. 11. The convention reaffirmed the desire Jehovah's Witness share in common, to help individuals in their local communities recognize a spiritual need in their family life.

It was stated that the world in general is technologically advancing in ways that takes a lot of time out of people's lives. Convention time featured a number of speakers reaffirming the need for Jehovah's Witnesses to keep inviting people to study the Bible. They believe that the purpose of this is to give people an opportunity to see the Bible's explanation for the reason why the world appears to be in such turmoil.
