Walmart Canada is aiming to raise an ambitious $139,000 in Saskatchewan during an Aug. 2 to 26 campaign in support of the Canadian Red Cross.
The Saskatchewan effort is part of a cross-country campaign to raise funds for Canadian Red Cross disaster preparedness and response activities.
“Walmart’s support of Red Cross Disaster Response is incredible. It is such a great way to show how lots of small actions add up to a make a huge difference” stated Kim MacLean, Disaster Management Lead for Canadian Red Cross in Saskatchewan. “From tornados to floods and fires, Red Cross is here in times of need for Canadians whose lives are disrupted due to disaster and we couldn’t do that without support from groups like Walmart.”
Walmart associates will be asking customers to make a donation at the checkout in support of the work done by the Canadian Red Cross in communities across the country.
