Donald Davidson might not have purchased his winning lottery ticket if it hadn’t been stuck to the one he wanted. The Morse resident was grateful for that happy accident when he claimed his

$50,000 prize from a Triple Play Scratch 'N Win ticket.

Davidson bought his ticket at Morse Grocery, located at 317 Main Street in his hometown.

“The clerk let me choose my own ticket,” he remembered. “When I pulled it out, there was another ticket stuck to it, so I bought them both.”

“I scratched the whole ticket, and then I started comparing the lucky numbers to my numbers – then I looked to see what the dollar value was,” he said.

That’s when he noticed that he had matched one of the “Lucky Numbers” and uncovered the game’s $50,000 Top Prize amount!

“My jaw dropped open, and I thought I would fall off my chair!” Davidson remembered. “I took my glasses off, cleaned them, and then checked it again.”

The winner said he’d like to use some of his windfall to travel, as well as applying it towards his retirement.
