The Cypress Health Region has rescinded the outbreak status at Shaunavon Hospital and Care Centre after consultation with Consulting Medical Health Officer Dr. David Torr.

Regular visitation can resume but all members of the public entering health region facilities are strongly encouraged to continue with infection control measures such as  wearing isolation masks available at all facility front entrances, washing hands upon entering and leaving the facility (or using Avagard where handwashing sinks are not readily available), and not visiting any of the facilities if they are feeling ill.

Influenza immunization clinics are being held this week at the E.I Wood Building at the following dates and times:

Jan. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Jan. 17 from 1:30 to 4 p.m.

Jan. 18 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

If none of the above times are convenient, individuals can book a separate appointment at local public health offices to receive immunizations.
