A Swift Current nurse, “Britany B.”, will be one of 25 contestants featured on the Oct. 3 premiere of The Bachelor Canada, airing on Citytv, as she endeavours to claim “the final rose” on the reality TV series.
“I’m Britany B. I’m 23 years old from Swift Current SK. I’m a registered nurse, and I’m going to receive the final rose because I think I’m a down to earth girl and any guy would be lucky to have me,” Britany says in her introductory video.
“I’m very nervous about the first impression. It’s not necessarily a quality that I’m looking for in a man; it’s a feeling. I want that person that I can be myself around and not only be myself around, but be a better me.
Britany B.’s bachelor target is Canada’s first TV Bachelor Brad Smith, who grew up in small-town Hudson, PQ, speaks French, graduated from Queen’s University and has played professional football for the Edmonton Eskimos, Toronto Argonauts and Montreal Alouettes.
Brad Smith’s father, Larry Smith, is a former Montreal Alouettes star running back, former commissioner of the league and former president of the Alouettes. He was appointed a Conservative member of the Senate by Prime Minister Stephen Harper in 2010.
